Patricius Tokaj was voted the most beautiful winery in all of Hungary in 2013.
The owners of the winery, Dezsö Kékessy and his daughter Katinka Kékessy-Wimpffen, started purchasing strictly First Growth Classified vineyards in 1997 in Tokaj. Today the total land holding consists of 140 hectares, of which 85 hectares are in production. 30 of those hectares are newly planted.
During 2005-2006 the 200 year old press house was renovated, and a state-of-the-art winery was built underground, based on gravitational technology.
2007 marks the first year the wines were for sale in the market. Since then numerous awards and high ratings have been awarded our lineup, and the vineyards are better and better each year. Today you can find Patricius wines in over 30 countries worldwide.
